The consumption of AdBlue® varies depending on the needs we aim to meet, particularly considering the amount required by Euro 4 and Euro 5 SCR systems. To comply with the conditions set by the current Euro 4 regulations, AdBlue® consumption should be approximately 3–4% of the diesel fuel used. For Euro 5 standards, the consumption should be around 5% of the fuel.

This method aims to reduce the level of pollutant emissions such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) by combining optimized engine combustion with exhaust gas after-treatment. The key component of this procedure is the use of AdBlue®.

AdBlue® is non-toxic and poses no risk to humans, animals, or the environment when used properly. Precautions when handling AdBlue® include avoiding contact with skin and eyes.

Since 2006, the use of AdBlue has been mandatory for trucks and buses registered in European Union countries. From 2015 onwards, it has become compulsory for all newly manufactured diesel-powered vehicles, including cars, trucks, tractors, construction machinery, trains, and even ships.

AdBlue® is a non-toxic, specially formulated synthetic urea solution used to chemically reduce NOx emissions produced by diesel-powered heavy-duty vehicles. AdBlue® is an environmentally friendly product and is classified as a low-risk portable liquid.
